Georgia "Gia" Kosmitis, Partner
Gia Kosmitis was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 1982. She attended LSU A&M where she obtained a bachelors of science in 1985 and graduated from the Paul M. Hebert LSU Law Center with a Juris Doctorate in 1988. She is licensed to practice law in both Louisiana and Texas. Gia Kosmitis has represented victims of medical malpractice, nursing home negligence and abuse, and personal injury claims for over 30 years.
Avery Bond, Partner
Avery Bond was born in Shreveport, LA and graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 2013. She attended LSU Shreveport where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Cellular & Molecular Biology in 2016, then graduated from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center with a Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law in 2019. She is licensed to practice in Louisiana. Avery has worked with Kosmitis Bond since 2015 and is a passionate advocate for victims of medical malpractice and nursing home neglect.
Shelley Bonney
Shelley Bonney is a Legal Assistant who has been working in the field for the past 24 years. She joined the Kosmitis Bond in 2000 and has been an undeniable asset to the team ever since. In addition to her work as a legal assistant, Shelley is also a Notary Public. Always focused on achieving the best possible outcome for everyone, Shelley enjoys working with the myriad clients and families associated with the practice.
Jenny Day
Jenny Day is the firm’s legal administrator and has been with Kosmitis Bond since 2014. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from LSUS in Criminal Justice. Jenny is generally the first point of contact at the firm and works with clients to assess needs and coordinates many day-to-day activities for the firm. Jenny is a huge asset to the firm and handles many operational duties for the practice and for client communications.
Marissa Holley
Marissa has been a part of the team at Kosmitis Bond since 2022. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the College of Charleston and received her paralegal certification from Louisiana State University in 2023. Marissa is an animal lover who enjoys reading and antiquing in her spare time.
